Monitoring of quality parameters using the image processing and the indirect measurement
This article presents the utilization of image processing within the quality control in the last phase of the production of the pipes – the measurement thir diameter. The method is realized by using the laser ray projected on the pipe and consequently scanned with the CCD camera. To enable the measurement, a calibration is necessary by a calibration device. The final light lines are extracted and processed by using the image processing technology with the Matlab software. The Matlab recognizes the image and counts the real pipe diameter. Using the statistical methods the density of defective dimensions of pipes diameters is finally defined. These approaches are documented by illustrative examples.
