A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Globalização e reconfiguração espacial: São Paulo e Buenos Aires, uma perspectiva comparada
With the changes in production dynamic, from the decade of 1980, the cities have rearranged activities of secondary and tertiary sectors, transforming the built landscape in areas that concentrate services, located in corporate buildings. This work analyses in compared perspective two Latin American capitals, the axis from Ing. Luis Carlos Berrini Avenue, in São Paulo city (Brazil) and Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires (Argentina). The comparison is based on evaluation of the urban design experience, in the implementation of urban instruments that allow capturing financial resources and the quality of public space and still in the analysis of segregation, disruption of pre-existing urban fabric, accessibility, infrastructure and public spaces framework. It is also analyzed the compatibility of existing legal instruments for the regulation of these dynamics with the practice of contemporary urban planning and its effects on the built environment.
