Studi Kelayakan Pengembangan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Minihidro Di Desa Sukamaju Kabupaten Garut Jawa Barat
Garut District is one area that has many potential resources as regard to the development of hydropower station due to its topographical situation and high river flow. One of the potential rivers to be developed as power plant is Cikawung River. To explore further the existing potential, especially related to power generation, feasibility study is needed. This study is performed to evaluate the feasibility of mini-hydro power plant construction in Sukamaju Village, Garut Regency, West Java in terms of technical and economical. The deployed research method are field survey, hydrological analysis, power and energy computation, civil structures planning, mechanical-electrical equipment design, and economic analysis. From the results of the study, it is found that the selected location has the potential discharge of 2.0 m3/s, head of 200 m and 330 m, with a potential of 4,719 kW of electrical power. Weir is designed based on flood discharge with a period of 100 years, while the intake, channels, and spillway are designed with a capacity 20% greater than the turbine discharge plan. Two units Pelton turbines will be used to generate 1,159kW and 3,560 kW electric power. Financial analysis shows that this mini-hydro development plan is feasible to be realized because it has NPVs IDR 65,118,441,870,- and IRR 26.07%
