São Paulo Miesiana: a influência de Mies van der Rohe na Arquitetura Moderna Paulista
The present research proposes an investigation on the figure of the architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, considered one of the Masters of the Modern Movement and one of the precursors of the International Style. More specifically, it intends to investigate the aspects related to the influence of Mies van der Rohe in São Paulo territory. With this, it is desired to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the disciplinary field of the history of the architecture, investigating aspects little explored of the figure of the architect yet. The in-depth study of his interaction with modern Brazilian architectural production will be developed through successive steps of approaching the theme, from the general to the particular. In the first place, more general aspects related to the figure of Mies van der Rohe and his practices will be analyzed. Subsequently, the intercurrent relations between the master and the Brazilian architectural panorama will be investigated. And the subsequent stage will involve a detailed study of works considered emblematic of the influence of the architect in the São Paulo range.
