Analysis of sustainable housing in Karaj City
The main purpose of this research is to analyze the housing sustainability situation in the 12 districts of Karaj City. Thus, we have investigated the physical , social , economic , and environmental indices of housing sustainability in the 12 districts. This is an applied research with descriptive-analytical method. The data have been gathered from field survey, in library reviews, and census data from Iran Organization Center. The data have been analyzed by SPSS software. The results have indicated that the districts are in three groups of sustainable, semi- sustainable, and unsustainable. For the objective of this study, we have used four housing sustainability indices and the results of these indices indicated that the districts of 4, 7, 8, and 11 are considered as sustainable, the districts of 1 , 5 , 6 , 12 as semi - sustainable , and the districts of 2 , 3 , 9 , 10 are also considered as unsustainable.
