In the discussions about anthropogenetic interventions in the landscape and the risks associated with them, the present work is a contribution to studies involving the relationship between society and nature in order to conduct an analysis of the morphogenetic dynamics in Estrada Nova watershed, the southern area of the city of Belém - PA. For this, we have to analyze the actions taken by the municipal government regarding flooding and waterlogging in the catchment area of the PROMABEN through desk review of the Environmental Impact Report of the program, the annals of the Public Archives of Pará State, systematic observations in the field and literature review on the subjects studied, based on the systemic approach.
