PERAWATAN BANGUNAN SEKOLAH DALAM MANAJEMEN BERBASIS SEKOLAH
School building with minimum maintenance will suffer in destruction quickly. When a small destruction is not repaired immediately then it will go badly. The teaching-learning process will be interupted and at the worse situation it can threath the safety. This article is objected to find the effective model of building maintenance using school based management. The results show that (1) the head of school should pro-active in the school building maintenance efforts; (2) the head of schools can co-operate with school commitee, communities, and local government in financial support; (3) the head of school can use the cleaning service staffs to handle the building maintenance; (4) evaluation can be divided into input, process, control, and output of the organisation; (5) the maintenance activities program can be wooden/concrete/steel structure repair, wall, door/windows, ceiling, electric/water/ drainage instalation, septictank; and (6) in conducting the his duty, the head of school is responsible to the school commitee, government, and public. Bangunan sekolah yang kurang diperhatikan akan segera mengalami kerusakan. Bila kerusakan kecil tidak segera ditangani, maka kerusakan menjadi makin parah. Belajar-mengajar dapat tertanggu bahkan dapat membahayakan keselamatan jiwa murid. Artikel ini bermaksud mendapatkan model perawatan bangunan sekolah yang efektif dalam manajemen berbasis sekolah. Hasil pembahasan (1) kepala sekolah perlu proaktif dalam upaya perawatan bangunan sekolah; (2) dalam hal pendanaan, kepala sekolah dapat bekerja sama dengan komite sekolah, masyarakat, dan pemerintah daerah; (3) kepala sekolah dapat memanfaatkan tenaga kebersihan sebagai pelaksana perawat bangunan; (4) sebagai evaluasi, organisasi dapat dibagi dalam input, proses, kontrol, dan output; (5) program kegiatan perawatan dapat berupa perbaikan struktur kayu/beton/baja, dinding, pintu/jendela, plafon, jaringan listrik/air bersih/drainase, septictank; dan (6) dalam menjalankan tugas kepala sekolah bertanggung jawab kepada komite sekolah, pemerintah, dan masyarakat.
