If deconstruction implies a critique of the dual structures of thought, the destabilization of binaries proposed by queer theory would be the deconstructive exercise par excellence. In this case, the original pair is not destroyed; instead, their relationship is dismantled to expand its possibilities and make them more complex. This essay shows the evolution of this thought until it reached Chile through exercises that seek to divert the hegemonic discourses of the architectural tradition.
