Sferolites from the Banská tiavnica rhyolite
Besides accessory minerals from the Banská tiavnica rhyolite we found 0.12-0.09 mm sferolites in the heavy fraction. The sferolites are of different sizes, colours and compositions. Most of the sferolites, are grey with polygonal jointing. Compositionally they correspond to an FeSi phase. Some Fe-sferolites are red-brown colour. Poperties of sferolites are discussed in this paper.
