METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS FOR MODELLING ECOTOURISM AREA PLANS
Growing anthropogenic pressure on the environment (including due to tourism) aggravates many an environmental problem causing a transformation of the worldview based on respect for interdependence between human well-being and the natural environment. One of the results is the concept of eco-tourism. The objective of ecotourism area planning is to preserve the natural and cultural heritage where the territory is used for recreation. However, sustainable development of ecotourism areas has faced the problem of a lack of methodological approaches and tools to manage the recreational impact through ecotourism area planning. The article considers concepts that have provided a basis for modeling methodology development.
