A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
General concepts of crossborder airports
Four concepts of crossborder airports are presented in this paper, depending on airport infrastructure location and inter-state agreement on their (common or separate) usage. To the best of our knowledge, there is no referent literature addressing the concept of crossborder airports. The cases are defined based on real cases and their possible evolution from authors' perspective. Crossborder airport concept is seen as one possible (transitional) solution for politically sensitive regions.
