At present one of the most discussed topics is the relationship between infrastructures for mobility ant the crossed territories and landscapes. Starting from the definition of the concepts of crossing and urbanscape, the article proposes a reading of recent European experiences of construction and/or recovery of empty spaces leaved by active or lost railway or street infrastructures within the town, interpreted like expression of a contemporary garden and urbanscape art.
