Elastic-plastic analysis of transversely loaded plates
Flexural behavior of thin plates in post elastic range is discussed; elastic, purely plastic relationship between moment and curvature is assumed, and general solutions developed from small deflection theory, for axi-symmetrical yielding over area, and axisymmetrical and unsymmetrical yielding along lines; applications include inelastic analysis of metal plates, pavement slabs, and continuous plate structures.
