Hydraulic jump in terms of dynamic similarity
Theoretical and experimental study of " longitudinal elements", such as length of jump, profile of surface of roller, etc, making use of dimensionless presentation in terms of dynamic similarity; experiments were run in varied-flow flume of Fluid Mechanics Laboratory, at Columbia University; tables for obtaining length of jump and generalized profiles of jump. (See also - discussions n 3 Mar p 421-4, n 5 May p 775-81, n 6 Aug p 903-10, n 7 Sept p 1098-1106, n 9 Nov p 1431-2)
