Emulsified petroleum oils and resins in reconstituting asphalts in pavements
Laboratory data on aging of asphalts and concept of restoring properties by use of selected fractions of petroleum oils and resins are presented; reasons are cited for selection of emulsion system for bringing together aged asphalt and particular oils and resins; properties of preparation required for obtaining desired results are described, together with summary of 3 yrs' field experience; test data include evaluations and measurements of permeability, texture, stability, and skid resistance.
