Study of channel erosion and sediment transport
Observations of channel erosion, flow, and sediment transport for Rio Puerco, in New Mexico, indicate that characteristics of channel and of channel material change rapidly because of deposition and erosion, and that ephemeral flows carry extremely high concentrations of suspended sediment that influence flow and transport characteristics.
