A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Method for optimum design of reservoir to provide regulated water for several purposes is described; dynamic programming is used to effect optimum allocation in terms of number of different values of regulated flow; flood control storage is considered separately in terms of marginal cost and marginal benefit; limitations of approach that arise from limitations of concept of "regulated flow" are discussed and extensions to overcome limitations are indicated.
