PERT and CPM techniques in project management
Integrated approach to PERT and CPM is presented underlining basic concepts; fundamental model can be visualized as network in which points or nodes correspond to events, and arrows correspond to activities; mathematics and mechanics of network analysis as it is applied to critical path computations are developed and illustrated; recent developments in areas of cost optimization and cost-time integration; simplified highway construction project illustrates application of PERT and CPM techniques in which concepts of work breakdown structure and account code structure are also incorporated.
