A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
System of plane coordinates suitable for computational purposes in plane or geodetic surveying is defined by corresponding transformation of coordinates; conformal mapping of part of earth's surface on strip bordering suitable curve in area is shown to provide optimum set of plane coordinates; concept is used to give indication of underlying invariants of more common regional plane coordinate systems.
