Field measurements of air infiltration in ten electrically-heated houses
One and 2-story brick and frame houses built over basements, crawl spaces, and concrete slabs on ground were used in investigation; dimensional and construction data of residences and data on air change rate adjusted to 10 mph wind velocity and 40 F temperature difference in relation to construction features of houses are presented; computation of air infiltration based on window and door crack lengths and on air change rate.
