Response of three-span continuous highway bridges to moving vehicles
Investigation conducted to obtain information which will lead to better understanding of dynamic behavior of 3-span continuous bridges under moving vehicles; object is also to develop concepts and simple approximate relations used to estimate magnitude of dynamic effects that may be produced under prescribed conditions; general theory for analysis of continuous bridges, together with exploratory study of effects of various parameters; simplified method of analysis and limited number of numerical solutions is given.
