Error statistics for reinforced concrete beams
Multiple regression analysis procedure provides preliminary means of organizing, evaluating, and combining on-site strength prediction error statistics required for structural safety considerations for reinforced concrete beams; analysis of 109 specified beam tests produced median prediction equation for ultimate moment tension failure; coefficient of variation of test values about predicted values is 6.4% and prediction capabilities are tabulated and compared with present ultimate design equation.
