Application of acoustics in air pollution problems
Analysis of displacement and attenuation in acoustic field with suspended particles to provide theoretical basis of experimental determination of size and concentration of particles in air pollution; theory is valid for particle larger than mean free path of both components of mixture and is compared favorably with existing experimental data; result shows that pollution counter could be designed using acoustic properties.
