Proposal for long-span shells as floor systems
Use of thin shells is proposed for structural support of long-span multilevel and multibay floors; shells together with their vertical supporting stems are to form complete structural system, which may be designed and constructed to advantage by integrated systems approach; horizontal distribution of services is to be contained between shell and horizontal floor.
