Vyplavka ferromolibdena vnepechnym silikotermicheskim sposobom v shakhte pod svodom
Ferromolybdenum melted by silicothermal method outside furnace in roofed shaft; it is shown that by carrying out melting beneath roof, much less heat is lost by radiation from exposed molten alloy surface; this means that high slag temperatures can be attained with lower consumption of ground aluminum at shorter processing time; more molybdenum is extracted into alloy, and working conditions are better; successful experimental campaign was conducted at Chelyabinsk combine, and this method of melting ferromolybdenum was developed successfully on industrial basis.
