Los Angeles, Calif, Stadium is circular building over 400-ft in diam, featuring cable-suspension roof with clear span over entire area; roof is supported at outer perimeter of building by 80 columns extending 80 ft above arena floor; it houses multi-purpose area to be used for ice hockey, track meets, ice shows, circuses, basketball, etc; details of exterior and interior lighting systems, light sources and luminaires used; illumination levels range from 220 ft-c maintained, in major playing areas, to 150 ft-c along peripheral area of playing floor, for both ice hockey and basketball.
