Advantages of rigid framework for construction of large reinforced-concrete arches
Majority of reinforced-concrete arches have round steel reinforcement members that do not possess sufficient rigidity to sustain themselves alone; brief description of system of construction in which steel arches are erected and wooden molds for concrete are suspended from this framework, eliminating necessity for falsework or cribbing. Note sent to Congress of Bridge Engrs. at Vienna, 1928.
