The reconstruction of Holt Fleet Bridge, Worcestershire
Reconstruction of bridge, spanning River Severn, has been carried out by somewhat unusual method; bridge is single span of 150 ft., being cast-iron structure supported on masonry abutments; method adopted consisted of strengthening arch ribs and various other members with reinforced concrete, component steel bars being electrically welded to cast-iron structure at various points.
