Uplift responsible for slope movements during filling of gepatsch reservoir
Considerable slope movements occurred during initial filling of Gepatsch reservoir, which led to interruption in further reservoir filling; through theoretical and model studies based on extensive explorations and geological investigations, uplift was recognized as main cause of these movements; this allowed assessment of movements still to be expected; under strict surveillance full level was reached step by step in two further filling periods in Sept 1966.
