Relation between slag viscosity and kinetics of reactions; development of new apparatus for "rotation" and "run-off" measuring methods; platinum alloys were used for crucibles and all measuring equipment in contact with slag; results of measurements of slag viscosity during open hearth and blast furnace operation are plotted and discussed.
