Bow Bridge flyover interchange
Bow Bridge forms crossing over River Lea which is part of A.11 arterial road, connecting London to Essex and Eastern Counties; design of interchange comprises provision of reconstruction of roads, new bow bridge, and fly-over; auxiliary works comprise diversion of existing services, drainage and road heating; flyover has total length of 1404 ft carrying dual roadways and comprises 622 ft long viaduct of continuous twin box beam construction, having seven spans, with approaches consisting of cellular reinforced concrete structure adjoining viaduct and of embankments contained by reinforced concrete retaining walls at each end.
