Possibilities and limitations of geophysical exploration applied in civil engineering
Some examples are given of actual geophysical studies made in construction of hydroelectric projects and dams; difficulties are discussed encountered in defining form, position, and dimensions of underground geological structures as well as properties of underground materials from interpretation of data obtained by various exploratory methods.
