Brownmillerite cement; manufacture and properties of cement in which iron content of raw mix is higher than that of standard Portland cement, resulting in formation of Brownmiller's compound and eliminating formation of tricalcium aluminate; concrete made with this cement claimed to have lower settling heat, less shrinkage and greater resistance to chemical attack than ordinary Portland-cement concrete.
