Influence of window sizes and their exposure, as well as influence of type of construction and ventilation upon thermal conditions in buildings is shown in series of diagrams; discussion on effectiveness of various protective means against excessive sun radiation such as outside screens, inside blinds and drapes, and different kinds of insulating glass panes; French and German standards dealing with protection of building against sun radiation are presented.
