Theory of consolidation for partially saturated soils
Method for predicting initial compression of soil; theory is developed for prediction of aerodynamic and hydrodynamic time-settlement curve; solution of corresponding differential equations by numerical, mathematical and analog methods, for consolidation of partially saturated and saturated soils, is discussed; theories are applied to particular examples, and certain experimental evidence is given.
