As result of stabilizing effect of centrifugal force and overflow conditions, laminar flow is produced in overflow centrifuge with continuous and steady feed, from which sedimentation data can be obtained; equation for particle size classification in such centrifuge is verified by mathematical treatment of flow ratios and thickness of overflowing layer; improved equation has been checked in sedimentation experiments; however, due to secondary influence, good agreement has been obtained only at high revolutions.
