Problem of displacement occurring in rock mass as result of mining work is approached assuming that rock mass is complex medium of stochastic aspect; vertical and horizontal displacements are determined using model; rock mass overlying exploited bed is considered as medium consisting of two strata; first stratum is superimposed directly on bed is assumed to be of stochastic character, second medium covering stochastic stratum is elastic continuum; numerical data are presented.
