New portland cement concrete design procedures
Influence charts, developed to make practical application of established theory for thickness design, are employed to determine magnitude and significance of stresses in modern concrete pavements; design charts developed for single and tandem axle loads at critical joint edge location are presented; procedures for determining single and tandem axle load distributions needed for design; procedures make use of loadometer data collected by state highway departments; application of methods to design of city streets.
