Fatigue of bituminous mixes and life expectancy of flexible road pavements
Extensive tests carried out at Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, Engineering Research Institute on circular test area and using specially designed apparatus with iterative application of load for evaluation of simulated traffic loads; fatigue is considered as phenomenon of dynamic loads expressed by relation of expansion to cycles of damage and by viscoelastic properties of mixes in form of complex modulus of elasticity; test apparatus and facilities are described.
