Surface irrigation hydraulics -- Kinematics
Kinematic approach in study of hydraulics of surface irrigation is considered; discussion is limited to advance phase; basic equation applicable in kinematic approach is explained; it is shown that several investigators have used this approach and have made assumptions regarding surface storage which are identical mathematically; solutions of mass-conservation equation and some which deviate from it are analyzed and compared; methods of numerically solving mass-conservation equation are developed and discussed.
