Completion of second line of subway system has added length of 8.6 mi to route; new line comprises what is known as Potroski radium and Gorky radius; third line, under construction, is scheduled for completion by end of 1939; when 3 lines are completed subway will have total length of 26.7 mi, nearly twothirds will be in deep tunnels; there will be 28 stations; distances between stations vary; method of construction.
