1,500,000-gallons elevated water tank at staveley
Circular tank having 130 ft internal diam and 18 ft 3 in. depth of water consists of flat slab and reinforced concrete walls, supported by 77 reinforced concrete columns; spacing of columns under ring-beam is less than elsewhere, thereby eliminating torsional stresses in wall, which acts as curved beam; view, plan and cross section, and details of joints are illustrated.
