Cincinnati's water supply will be more than doubled after completion of 13,620 ft long, 8 ft diam unreinforced concrete tunnel which connects pumping station with city; entire tunnel was driven from single work shaft; 52-ft steel head frame on top of work shaft supports hoisting sheaves for dual hoisting operations; best day's driving has been 81 ft of tunnel, in both headings.
