Illustrated description of method of splicing 30-ft wood piles using gunite; splice consisted of 5 in. thick concrete, reinforced with twelve 3/4-in. longitudinal bars, wire mesh, and spiral turns of 1/4 in. at top, bottom and center; tests reported satisfactory.
