General Petroleum Building in Los Angeles uses 7-ft basic module, with movable partitions permitting offices to be enlarged to any multiple of seven feet; vertical aluminum fins running from third to thirteenth floor cut costs of air conditioning; by use of over 12,000 cu yd of light weight concrete aggregates more than 13,000 tons were cut off dead weight of building.
