Planned water conservation in New South Wales
Total amount of water to be impounded by proposed new storages will be 5,000,000 acre ft to serve 20,000,000 acres for stock and domestic purposes and to irrigate 1,500,000 acres for intensive cultivation; Keepit, Burrendong and Glenbawn dams, now under construction; first is concrete, 140 ft high, with capacity of 345, 000 acre ft; other two of rolled earth 170 and 200 ft high, with capacity of 520,000 and 120,000 acre ft, respectively.
