Requirements of many openings in floor of linseed and soybean oil preparation building was met by flat slab design with steel grillages built into slabs; building is 130 × 92 ft, four stories and basement; live load of floors is from 200 to 500 lb per sq ft; interior H steel columns facilitated changes throughout construction.
