Strengthening bridge slabs with grouted reinforcement
On project described, negative reinforcing bars settled as much as 2 1/2 in. out of correct position; various means for incorporating negative reinforcement at correct height in finished structure; method of grouting additional bars in grooves cut with aid of diamond saw; tests on beam specimens thus reinforced gave results identical with those to be expected for all bars normally encased.
