$22-million Second Mokelumne aqueduct, to carry additional 105 mgd of water to San Francisco East Bay cities consists mainly of 67 and 68 in. steel pipes; above ground section is 69-in. outside diam steel, lined with 1/2 in. cement mortar; heavy grid system of falsework supported on timber piling was built where pipes had to be laid on marsh land.
