To protect embankment slopes in City Creek Road from destructive effects of rainfall, multiple planting and seeding operations were used; immediately after seeding, slopes are covered with straw, 6 tons to acre and rolled with tamping roller; additional control is obtained by use of wire mats placed within embankment slopes during construction.
